Bikini Experts, everything you need to know about bikinisHow to gain confidence to wear a bikini?
Posted by admin in bikini on 05 20th, 2012I am 20 and never wore a bikini. I usually wear tankinis, but I don’t want to wear those anymore. My stomach is pretty flat, I just have big thighs and wide hips. I see a lot of girls who are bigger than me wear bikinis all the time. I have heard people say "she is too fat to wear a bikini" but that girl has more confidence than I do. I really don’t know how to gain the confidence to wear a bikini. I am going to the beach soon and want to give it a try.
- If you loose your coverup within the first minute you won’t have time to obsess. When you go to the beach, right when you get there rip it off like a bandage. AND DON’T LOOK!
-Don’t suck it in. Ever. Period. It can mess up with your postureand draw more attention to you. Whereas breathing naturally makes you look comfortable in your own skin. Chin up, shoulders back, and be super duper fierce when you strut.
-Bring a volleyball. Go around to your friends and recruit players for the game. Nothing is hotter than a girl who gets the fun started. It makes you feel strong and sexy. Total confidence at it’s best.
-Rock a fearless suit. Whether it’s a bright red or neon pink. A crazy suit makes you look like a wild-child bringing more attention to your attitude and NOT your body. When your suit says confidence you will overflow with confidence.
- Draw a peace sign on your most loved body part and then Tweet a picture @seventeenmag , tagged #17BodyPeace
I got all this stuff in the May issue of Seventeen magazine and that’s where I give credit to if you need any more help go to www.seventeen.com
I really hope I helped you. Be fierce,
XOXO Rock ya body no matter ya shape.

Posted by admin in bikini on 05 20th, 2012What solution do they put after bikini wax to prevent in-grown hairs? Where can I buy it?
The solution may be a an exfoliating agent. If so you can get the same results far cheaper using a rough wash cloth after (NOT BEFORE) the hair has been removed and then apply a dry stick deodorant to heal the skin once it is clean and dry.
However waxing, threading, epilators are painful as they pull the hairs out by their roots. This leave a hole in the skin where the hair once grew and this can fill up with bacteria and cause infections and again permanent damage. See http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/ate/skinandhair/205367.html
There are some other choices for body hair removal.
In my opinion with many years of professional hair removal experience you should never use any depilatory creme or gel. All hair removal cremes, sprays and gels contain harsh chemicals to attack and dissolve the hair protein. However these caustic chemicals like sodium thioglycolate, also attack the skin and burn and sometimes permanently discolor the skin and cause dryness. The FDA makes manufacturers put a watered down warning in small print on every container, which sadly no one reads. See this review on Amazon. http://io9.com/5906465/the-most-alarming-amazon-reviews-ever
Laser procedures are not permanent and the FDA prohibits anyone from saying otherwise. Laser can burn the skin as well as hair, it is not suitable for all skin and hair types, takes several procedures to do the job, is as enjoyable as having hot needles stuck in you, can also cause permanent skin dryness and discoloration in a laser procedure. The price tag for laser hair removal is equally painful. http://www.calgaryherald.com/life/fashion-beauty/Follicle+folly/6560816/story.html
The home laser sets are usually IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) but these are made to be so weak so no one gets hurt, that they really are not that helpful.
Truthfully the best way to remove unwanted hair is to use an electric personal shaver. While like the methods above it is not permanent, you get "smooth as waxing" skin in a matter of moments at home, and the cost at about 3 cents per shave is the cheapest method anywhere. Noitching, no rash, no shaver burn and no ingrown hairs.
Please note that an electric personal shaver is not the same as the wet blade razor which many people use and complain about. The razor blade scrapes away the skin as well as the hair and this is when you get nicks, cuts, ingrown hairs and the shaving rash that everyone dreads. Never wet shave "south of the border" as the skin there is much thinner there and much more sensitive than on the face. It makes zero difference if you use a pink shaver. This is a marketing ploy used to make women buy their razors, but the blade cannot tell what gender you are. You should never use any shaver or razor intended for the face, on your body. The skin is not the same on the body.
As for the myth that shaved hairs grows back thicker and faster, many people believe this but it is biologically impossible. See what a Mayo Clinic doctor says at http://www.bestbodyshaver.com/shaving-myths/
How should I cut holes in my bikini top to insert padding?
Posted by admin in bikini on 05 20th, 2012My bikini didn’t come with holes for the padding and I want to put in the padding so how do I cut it without completley ruining my bikini? Thanks all answers appreciated!
Bikini’s Usually have an inner lining,
Lift the INNER lining and Take scissors and make a SMALL slit in the side and then roll up the padding to Insert then move it too the correct position! Then Well Ahh! You can also Sew the slits if you like
Good Luck!
What’s the difference between bikini’s and lingerie?
Posted by admin in bikini on 05 20th, 2012Why are women immediately judged if they take a picture of themselves in lingerie but cheered on if they take a picture of themselves in a bikini? Both are skimpy. I don’t see why one is allowed over another.
I don’t have a problem with either but I think if you’re going to say a girl’s pretty or trollop-like in a bikini then you’ll have to say the same for her lingerie picts!
I completely agree and get what you’re saying but it’s simply because lingerie is supposed to be worn under clothing, and bikinis are to be worn without any clothes on top of it.
Bikini’s make me feel naked and I actually think some of them are so inappropriate, you might as well be naked. Also consider the meaning of bikini and ask yourself why some crazy parents allow their 10 year olds to be wearing that and not a proper one piece swimming costume.
Is it wrong to wear a bikini or monokini to a family reunion?
Posted by admin in bikini on 05 20th, 2012There’s going to be a family reunion that I’ll be attending in Vegas in August and it includes a pool party at a hotel and I’m planning on wearing a bikini. Is it inappropriate to wear a bikini or monokini to a family reunion when it includes a pool party or not?
@!-My family is pretty conservative but I love to dress sexy.
Depends on the type of family you have

Do women care much about style when getting a bikini swimsuit?
Posted by admin in bikini swimsuit on 01 14th, 2012"Relative" to how much thought they put into buying their other clothes/shoes? Just curious.
I ask "relative" because usually women seem to put more thought into clothes/shoes than men do. It seems like women sometimes really really care about style and fashion, while other times they don’t put much thought into it.
well you asked this in the surfing section, so im going to answer as a girl that actually surfs. not sure if this is the type of answer you are looking for but it is realistic.
i actually dont care about style when it comes to bikinis (im not gonna buy one that has ugly patterns or looks weird, but i am not particularly picky as to the design) i actually look for one that is sturdy and will not fall off in the ocean. basically, style is secondary when it comes to bikinis for surfing. surf brands like rip curl or roxy make some good bikinis suitable for girls that surf. If I am not surfing and just going in the pool, I like basic bikinis like a nice black string bikini.
to further answer your question, though, most girls do care about style when it comes to bikinis but first they make sure that their body looks nice in the bikini. if they feel fat in a really cute bikini, girls wont buy that bikini. if they think they look skinny in an average bikini, they will wear that. hope i gave you a better understanding of both surfer girls’ and regular girls’ bikini choices haha
